Ecco On Overton Park

Weekends are made for brunch, so I decided to make a (late) pit stop last Saturday at Ecco on Overton Park, a fairly new restaurant in the Evergreen Historic District. Capriccio Grill

Chef Derek Smith recently launched a new Modern Southern Comfort lunch menu at Capriccio Grill, the Peabody Hotel’s Italian Steakhouse, and last week I had a chance to visit not only for the first time, but to sample some of the new items on the menu. Andrea was able to join me, and because we like a lot of the same kinds of food, we decided to split an appetizer while ordering different entrees to get the most out of our meals. Lost Pizza Company

In the mood for pizza on your lunch break? Try Lost Pizza Company! I recently tried out The Happy Hippie (fresh baby spinach, fresh tomatoes, artichoke hearts, green peppers, onions, black olives & our house cheese) bc I’m a veggie lover. The homemade sauce was rich and robust but not heavy, and the crust was similar in texture to cheesesticks-firm but chewy (it also comes as gluten-free). They offer different sizes, but the small is more than enough for one person. I also ordered cheese sticks and was able to take over half of everything home. Great bang for your buck....

2015 Peabody Rooftop Party Season Kicks Off Tonight!

The 2015 Peabody Rooftop Party season kicks off tonight featuring Hollywood BAND and a special performance by Shaggy.
