For nearly thirty years Frankie Beverly and Maze have created a unique sound and become one of the most influential groups in modern history. The sound is distinctive — passionate, creative, original, soulful, honest and powerful; and has yielded countless chart topping hits, along with numerous awards, including the 2012 BET Cadillac Lifetime Achievement Award.

“We’ve made it this far because we love and respect ourselves and our fans. But, most importantly, we believe in what we do,” says Beverly.

Chris Tucker first burst onto the comedic scene in the 1990’s as a frequent performer on Def Comedy Jam, and later rose to prominence as an actor, starring in a number of hit movies, including Friday, and the highly successful Rush Hour film series alongside Jackie Chan.

This year’s show also marks the return of Heads of State group members Johnny Gill, Ralph Tresvant and Bobby Brown, who last headlined the Landers Center with New Edition back in February of this year.

Starting out as a house band for Memphis’s Stax Records in 1966, local favorites the Bar-Kays, round out this year’s star-studded lineup.

Tickets can be purchased at the Landers Center Box Office, at all Ticketmaster locations, online atticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.
