Contemporary Digital Artist SON OF ELLIS will host his first art exhibit at Aquarius Creative Studio (688 S. Cox Street) from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2011.
Featuring work that is inspired by today’s pop culture, Pop Art: Revisited, will include digital portraits created from images of prominent celebrities, local professionals, private portrait sessions & submissions, and original artwork.
Pieces featured in Pop Art: Revisited will be available for purchase, and there will be a silent auction as well. Wine & hors d’ ouvres will be served. The exhibit is free to the public.
SON OF ELLIS, formerly known as Boulovani, is a popular Tennessee based contemporary digital artist who has garnered much recognition for his passion for art. Most known for his vibrant portraits and use of color, his preferred mediums are a combination of pencil and ink, which he then digitizes to color.
Aquarius Creative Studio is designed to meet the needs of professional photographers and emerging artists. Home base of Photographer Darius B Williams, ACS is poised to be the Midsouth Region’s premier destination for all things photographic.
I’m so excited for this show, guys. I actually helped with the planning and promoting of the show (I even created the flyer, woot! woot!), so I hope that he has a great turnout.
